CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are looking for a CNC Machinist to work on a permanent basis in the Oldham area.

The role is working Monday to Friday working 6am till 2.30pm and 2.30pm till 11pm.

Salary is c£33-34,200 per annnum plus 25% shift pay, company bonus, 25 days’ holiday and bank holidays, pension etc

Duties for the CNC Machinist:

Your new role will involve the operation of manual and CNC grinding machines. Grinding experience would be preferred but full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities

• Able to set and operate grinding machines
• Use and understand technical drawings
• Able to use measuring equipment to ensure component compliance,
• Perform basic TPM on all equipment including cleaning and lubrication.
• Mentor and instruct roll grinding apprentices when required.
• Committed to continuous improvement and able to suggest improvements regarding methods, processes, and tooling.
• FLT and Overhead crane licence would be advantageous but training can be provided.
• Apprenticeship in Engineering or similar qualification desirable;
