Mechanical Fitter

Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to work on a permanent basis in Knutsford.

Salary is c£28-32,000 per annum plus 23 days’ holiday and bank holidays, pension etc.

The role can either be worked Monday to Thursday or spread out over Monday to Friday days.

Job duties for the Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Fitter:

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble machinery using drawings and parts lists
• Test equipment for functionality and performance
• Carry out inspections and resolve mechanical issues
• Refurbish and appraise hire equipment where required
• Maintain build records and documentation
• Ensure work areas remain clean and organised
• Attend daily team meetings and support continuous improvement

Requirements

• Previous experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Good attention to detail and quality standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of health & safety procedures
