Production Operative

Job Description

We are recruiting for a Production Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in Milton Keynes on a temp to perm basis.

Salary is £26,000 per annum plus 25 days’ holiday and bank holidays, pension etc.

Shifts:
Rotating shifts covering mornings, afternoons.

This role involves preparing, processing and inspecting components through various production stages while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities for the Production Operative:

• Prepare, inspect and process parts for production operations.
• Load and unload production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and follow route cards, engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Operate production machinery and maintain accurate production records.
• Carry out visual inspections and report any defects or damaged parts.
• Ensure customer orders are completed to quality standards and delivery deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area and support continuous improvement activities.
• Follow all health & safety, quality and operating procedures.

Requirements for the Production Operative role:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings is advantageous but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit, including manual handling of up to 20kg.
• Flexible to work rotating shifts and overtime when required.
